A few days ago I was at a shopping mall looking for Christmas gifts when I found myself checking Essie´s stand. I first bought the individual nail polishes, then I came back for Essie´s “Winter 2013 collection” set (which colours are available individually). I just couldn´t resist such a beautiful sample of their new wintery colours, because you pay for 1 and you get 3. I still don´t know any girl who runs out of nail polish before it dries. So whenever I find mini gift sets I go mad and end up grabbing my purse. I wish they could reduce size to half, because they would also probably reduce price to half.
Here is what I bought:
Bobbing for baubles
A deep dark shappire, kind of dusty navy blue…I don´t know. It is just the most beautiful dark blue I have ever tried.
Bahama mama
A rich plum purple colour, lighter than it seems. I think is a very wintery colour, much different from a regular dark wine nail polish.
In stitches
A dusty dark wintery pink. This one requires two coats.
Shearling Darling (W2013C) – classic dark wine colour, brown toned.
Parka Perfect (W2013C)- a dusty light blue green, perfect for winter, and just the reason why I bought the entire winter set.
Toggle to the top (W2013C) – pure glittery red wine, perfect for parties.

Hace unos días estaba comprando regalos en un centro comercial cuando me topé con el stand de ESSIE. Primero fiché los colores sueltos, y luego ví la colección “winter 2013 collection*“. Esta colección merece muchísimo la pena porque tiene el mismo precio que un sólo pintauñas, cuando vienen tres, y aunque evidentemente el tamaño de cada botecito es menor que el de los originales, ¿quién ha acabado alguna vez un pintauñas antes de que se seque? Es más, ójala todos los pintauñas de ESSIE y de OPI tuvieran un tamaño menor…serían más baratos y prácticos.
Vamos con los colores:
Bobbing for baubles
Es un azul zafiro agrisado. El azul marino más bonito que he probado nunca. Es de mis preferidos.
Bahama mama
Es un color vino o ciruela clarito, más de lo que puede parecer. Creo que es un color muy invernal, y distinto del típico color vino oscuro, porque es mucho más vivo.
In stitches
Es un rosa salmón muy agrisado…un rosa invernal.
Shearling Darling – este sí es el típico rojo vino oscuro. Tan oscuro que tira un poco a marrón.
Parka Perfect – un azul claro grisáceo precioso, también muy invernal, y sin duda, la razón por la que compré esta colección.
Toggle to the top – es un rojo vino con purpurina precioso para estas fiestas.
Essie y opi son mi marca de pintauñas favoritas! ¿Qué color crees que es el más recomendable para mi para esta época estival?

Para estas fechas yo me quedaría con el BAHAMA MAMA, porque es un color ciruela precioso, sofisticado y queda muy brillante y clarito; y con el TOGGLE TO THE TOP, porque que tiene purpurina y es muy festivo, y todavía elegante y discreto. Un beso
